Orbs is backing the TON Believers fund, or TBF. 🔥 For context on what the group stands for, and their initiatives here is an open letter they sent via their Telegram to the TON Foundation — "We at the TON Believers Fund (TBF) are calling on the TON Foundation to help solve the centralization problem caused by early miners in our ecosystem. Early miners show unwavering dedication to The Open Network's mission, yet their presence concentrates the supply of Toncoin, creating problems for new entrants. We fear that a sudden sale by a small group of miners will cause a panic with serious consequences for the community. To solve this problem, TBF offers a solution that rewards members and provides stability for newcomers. Our smart contract pools donations to incentivize contributors, and locked deposits and earned rewards are released monthly for three years after a two year freeze." Tal Kol spoke directly with the TBF, explaining the rationale behind the decision: “I believe that increasing decentralization is the best way to increase the value of TON blockchain. To do that, large long term holders should lock their tokens. This will signal the market that the coins in circulation are distributed well and expedite TON’s growth in the next few years”.
